migration inclusion and belonging

Ina Pervan-Al Soqauer co-founded and leads Fremde werden Freunde, a Vienna-based organization dedicated to fostering social inclusion through meaningful encounters. The initiative creates structured yet human-centered spaces where people from different social, cultural, and migratory backgrounds can meet as equals and build lasting relationships.

Her work focuses on participation through everyday interaction—bringing together individuals, companies, and institutions via community programs, educational formats, and inclusive volunteering initiatives. Fremde werden Freunde combines civil society engagement with partnerships across the public and private sectors to strengthen social cohesion and a sense of belonging.

With a background in research, economics, and project management, Ina brings a systems-oriented perspective to social inclusion, translating values such as openness, mutual learning, and shared responsibility into practical, scalable formats that address real social needs.
