creative AI storytelling

Stephanie Meisl is a Vienna-based media artist and co-founder of D#AVANTGARDE, working at the intersection of visual culture, emerging technologies, and socially reflective art practices. With a background spanning film production, media art, and communication, her work critically explores how digital systems—particularly AI—reshape authorship, perception, and collective meaning.

Since 2018, her artistic research has focused on artificial intelligence as a cultural and narrative agent, translating complex technological questions into accessible audiovisual formats. Through installations, hybrid performances, and experimental storytelling, she investigates how human experience, memory, and responsibility are encoded, mediated, and reinterpreted by machines.

For shrine, Stephanie brings expertise in making abstract technological processes emotionally legible, bridging artistic inquiry with public discourse. Her practice supports shrine’s ambition to treat memory, identity, and AI not as technical problems, but as cultural and ethical spaces that require care, narrative clarity, and critical imagination.
